00_XJ Posted September 11, 2008 Report Share Posted September 11, 2008 Today I let my buddy "detail" my truck. After he washed it apparently he started to wax it, right under the 95 degree sun. So now the hood of my truck have wax baked into every single scratch on it and looks like crap. Now I need to know what I need to do to remove all the wax from the scratches? Can it be buffed out? If so I don't have a buffer so are there any cheaper alternatives? trainman0978 Posted September 11, 2008 Report Share Posted September 11, 2008 Find a good stripper soap, one that will remove all wax and oil.... dare I say, to keep it simple and easy to find, plain ole ivory white liquid dish soap. Then use a quick detailer and micro fiber towels to get the rest of it up. I use stuff from a site called www.autogeek.net , but they are kinda pricey.
