My Tahoe REBUILD...New RF amps 21,000+ watts RMS (PICS) 2nd RF 3sixty.2 in!

Recommended Posts

your answer is yes and no.......

i could play it for an hour hard enough to hurt someone yes......but at FULL TILT it wouldnt be a good idea for any sub.  Ive been known to be on the freeway for well over 2 minutes slappin with no problems but full tilt trying to get every last DB is tough on even a small system with 1 12 and 1,000 watts.......

Put it this way, before my subs are even noticeably moving it is too much bass for probably 85% of the people that get in my tahoe so i could go for a while if i wanted to just not with the "needle buried" ;)  Close though...

Thanks, Steve. Grtrat1, Proper english and slang are 2 different things. "Dats" "da" way I talk....sooooooo thats me. I know proper english but I choose not to speak it unless I'm at work or constructing business with someone.....other than "dat" I say whatever I want and however I want to say it. No offense but if u didnt like then u didnt have to respond to the thread because I was really asking Steve a question. So u mean to tell me u pull up at a party or a get together and greet ur friends like..."Hello guys, How are u doing? My this is a pleasant event we are attending this evening." I doubt it u probably say, "Whats up?" and "dis" and "dat" or whatever else that ur teacher didnt teach u in grammar school. But anyway like I was saying thanks, STEVE. Now back to "dis" stereo stuff.

its not proper grammar that i care about its just proper forum etiquette....it gets really annoying when people use slang every other word, its just like typing in caps lock, that shit gets annoying

new setup in the works

no worries.....Dave probably was out of cigarettes when he typed that.  He gets irritated easy when his nicotene level gets low.

Dont worry bout it.  :D

My point exactly. This has nothing to do with what I asked Steve. If u can read then u can read. If it says "dat" then dats what it is.....its not chinesse arithmatic. Its alot of situations on this forum that I see that I dont like.....I say F it and go to something else. Like I said before if u dont like something that I say or a particular way dat I say sum'n then skip over my comment and let it be cuz Im not changing the way I type or speak for anyone. Dats no more annoying than every other word some people up here are cursing...."sh*t", d*mn etc.. If anything that is annoying.

  • 4 weeks later...

Hey Steve I got a question...I noticed how with the old rf amps you had (the 8) you had some of them mounted onto the middle row... I'm going to do the same with my setup that im working on with the expedition...

Question...Did you have to put a piece of MDF or any kind of wood inside the seat before you bolted the amps down to it? I was just touching my seats (behind the middle row seating) and they feel pretty hard, they got like some sort of plate in there and I feel like I can bolt it directly like that...Just wanted to know how you did it.

your car might be different but i was able to hit steel on almost every screw.  I probably should have used some MDF though.
