uve got some good ideas flowing now

i agree with both the large flat smooth surface above subs and if you have double baffles, which i bet u do, roundover the inside of the box where the subs mount, ive seen this alot, especiialy with small cabinet home theatre speakers

moving the box slightly farther forward so the ports arent as close the the carpet... again if you werent using aeros alot of this wouldnt neccessarily help but the flaring spreads the sound wave out so u need to keep those waves as unrestricted to the meter as possible with the smoothest surfaces possible to reduce friction, which can cause turbulence when u are moving so much damn air!

Thanks for the ideas guys. The picture of the ports is not a very good picture. When I compete I prop the front of the box up. It raises the ports up a good bit and points them up at the windshield.
