Toxiccasper
I would love to build a horn sometime but no idea how to design one lol
BigPimpin91
Do you remember any measurements? Load the picture into Sketchup. Trace the picture. Try to Redesign it in there. So, I'm going to assume hat Rear Loading Horn are kick-ass boxes and I shouldn't fear putting one in My Bronco II? Could subs be swapped between the design and still perform well? stratusrt01
Definately great sounding boxes. As long as the T&S specs are even similar, you can expect similar sounds. Changing subs just really changes the way the box reacts. The dual 10" box, I sold to a guy that put Kicker CVX's in it, and he still loved it, even though those subs are totally different spec-wise. The way I understand it, and from swapping subs in mine, if you put a sub with a low Qts in a horn it will be very peaky around tuning. Higher Qts subs smooth it out a bit. If the Fs is different, it can change the curve, but in mine, it normally moves the curve a bit towards the Fs of the new sub, but doesn't totally kill the sound. Where did you happen to get your design?I'm quite interested in this design. The jump would be quite large in Sub specs. Forevrbumpn
Here's My Idear. (I AM NOT OWNER OF THIS DESIGN. ForevrBumpN lent me this design.) This box was just a ported box using a massive horn as the port nothing to special other than it should be insane at like 34hz Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. stratusrt01
Well, I have to move the sub placement. Because of the subs being mounted that far back, it effectively puts the tuning at around 80hz because it's not seeing the front of the line. So I'm going to have to rip out the baffle and rebuild it......... suckage, but you live, you learn. So, here's a quick pic before I tear the baffle out tomorrow evening. I was all set to glass the holes and seams and get it in for paint on Saturday also: Edited October 31, 2008 by stratusrt01
