Mechman Alternators

Recommended Posts

I can get a Powermaster 48203 for about 50 dollars less than a Mechman 10511252-00. They are both 200 amp alts is one better than the other as far as output at idle?

Our 200 amp CS144 is only $299, FYI. Ours does about 125 amps at idle, which seams to be the same as PM.

thanks

Matt

FYI

$50 bucks is $50 bucks unless hes offering the free discontinued D680 battery.

FYI - We are actually $59 cheaper than the Powermaster unit.

That is a differnent unit, and has different features, which is why it is more expensive.

The unit that compares to the 48203 is only $299.

Well I was talking to the Forum member but thanks for the SA FYI for FTL

OK, sweet, whatever that means. If people are going to sell against my product, at least have the courtesy to do it somewhere besides my own vendor section.

Thanks!

Matt

what are the differences? All I see is that they are both 200 amp alternators.

From what I've seen, our 200 amp unit is pretty similar to the Powermaster. All of the Powermaster units that I've seen use an OEM type bearing, which is fine, but I've had better luck with NTN. Every Powermaster unit I've seen also has a stock size charge post, whereas most of ours have an oversized charge post. I havn't inspected every all of their stuff, but it seems like we generally use a heavier rectifier than what I've seen them use.

To be fair, all of the Powermaster units that I've tested did put out what they where supposed to amperage wise, so I can't really say that they are over rated.
