Colin - STAPUFT
Nothing special at all- but they sound good and image well- 2 4" old school kevlar cone JBL GTi mids and one 5.25" Tang-Band woofer in each box. 3/4 front baffle, loads of resin and glass, bondo, polyfil in the box. They look pretty plain, but I def. don't have the skill or patience of some of you guys. They are nice and solid. On with the pics.... I used dowel rods and hot glue to get the depth and angle right Wrapped for resin Resin done and bondo begins... btw- NEVER resin speaker box carpet. That may be a duh, but it sucked. That stuff soaked up so much resin it was crazy. When it was finished it was strong though... so, it just took a while, then I had to re-resin and glass after that... so- just added a step. You can see the 2 silk dome McIntosh tweets in the "kicks" in the Astro.... if you want to call them that. I know it is dirty and old and faded.... Forevrbumpn
end result doesnt look that bad, its definitely has its own style are those Tang Band? nm, I read Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. Colin - STAPUFT
Thanks. It's own style of on the cheap and did it myself Yeah, those little Tang-Band woofers aren't too shabby. Nothing amazing, but they do quite well for their size. They will jump a good 1/2 inch if you push them to it.
