to be honest, i dont see the point of using anything that high quality to play compressed mp3...i mean if you're running lossless or something sure, but imo anything decent is fine for mobile stuff (and btw, ipod mp3 decomression is fucking horrid, going from an ipod (i have a 30 and 80 gig video, 4gig nano, a clip-shuffle, and a touch) to my archos (a gmini 400, and a big touchscreen 6-series) there is a night and day difference, I dont know what it is, but it is a huge difference in quality regardless of whats hooked up (using the same files)

Very cool thread. I have those skullcandy ones that I use on rare occasion. I agree, the have great bass and sturdy wiring. I usually sleep with my iPod on everynight (I'm a freak) so I use a pair of $1.50 WALMART ones because they always end up breaking.

I've thought of trying the Skullcandy ones, but really don't want to wear em out.

I would like to see how those Smokin' Buds by SC stack up against these.

my skull candy earbuds had the problem with one being louder than the other. started off fine, then one day one side got really quiet. but at 10-15 bucks i just bought another pair. so far so good now.

I have been using my earbudds for a month now. You can really hear the sound quality. The lows are nice and smooth, But the highs where a little sharp for my taste. But hey well worth it imo

I use the Ultimate Ears UE-11 Pro custom molded and they sound and feel wonderful. I mainly use them on stage but they sound great with any source. Around $1150 plus the trip to the ear mold specialist. I use them with the Shure psm-700 wireless system and a Rane in ear processor. There is no comparison!!!
