some how i lost 1/8" in width so it will kick my tuning frequency up to around 35.5... i figure it was just due to the blade width while i was cutting... no big deal its still within my range of tuning frequency so im not going to mess with it...

Looks GREAT! Any updates? Played it yet?

Just a FYI for next time you build: Make a small area where the ports will be installed double thickness. Cut the OD pipe size in the inner piece, and the ID pipe size in the outer piece. you can then run a roundover bit on the outer piece to get a small flare. It is just enough to really cut down on noise from the sharp edge of the port.

Like I did these boxes:

Current system:

1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s

Previous systems:

2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz.

1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.

Besides the fact that this thread is 6 years old, make your own new thread, and ditch that shit equipment if you "want to compete" as you say. Although I suspect troll. No one is dumb enough to believe in all of that garbage at once.

This is an old thread, but I had to say I totally know what this guy is going through.  When I look at numbers my mind goes BLANK with a side of tension headache.  Ask me to combine multiple sets of numbers to come up with some other magic number and I might just implode.

The only way i'm getting anything done is if someone does the math for me, produces the cut-sheet, and then I can build the box.

I'm good at many things, numbers will just never happen for me though.

most people say you need 12-16 square inches of port area, what I am trying to figure out is how they arrive at that number. So for my given speaker, I can calculat what cross sectional area I need. Here everyone says your need 12-16 inches per cubic foot, but others say that cross sectional area is only determined by your speaker. so which is it, anyone know?
