philip
i was just playing with my amp (t20001bd) and please correct me if i'm wrong. i turned the freq. on the amp down and all the other eq settings for the sub is flat. do i get the target voltage from there? when i turn up the freq. on the amp. the a/c voltage also goes up. oh btw. i don't have my sub hooked up and i was playing a 43 hertz tone and also tried it on 46. i was just wondering if i set it at the amp freq at zero then turn it back to about 80 when i'm done or set the gain with the voltage at 80? 95pimpalass
Or you can also set it "by ear" I recommend doing it using a DMM but I have done many systems by ear in the passed and none have failed. When setting the gains ''by ear'' you still need to use a ''50 hz tone'' to set it.....? and how would I set it.....?
Torres
by ear, you turn the volume up to about 75%. adjust the gain till you hear it start to get distorted. it's easy to tell when this happens. it just sounds kinda flat. then turn it back down a bit till it's a clean signal again. codi
how do you set the amp out put? is it just a dial on the amp that you turn (or set)?
ChevyBoy
how do you set the amp out put? is it just a dial on the amp that you turn (or set)? http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=setting+gainquestion for me though: say a box is a little smaller (ported) than what the subs call for, how would you go about setting gains on that? just leave the voltage a little lower?
