roscoe1129
yea it works for the outside plastics as well you just have to make sure you clean it really good to remove any contaminates *wax, shine shit, from the plastics and I would suggest using a flex additive in the paint since its an outside piece and will be vibrating/shaking more so that the paint doesnt crack. The grill I believe if you take a heat gun carefully to that crome it will peel off or you could sand it till your hands are raw the bowtie just sand like anyother plastic Some people need a sympathetic pat... on the head...with my hammer Scientia est Vox "In Nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti" DONT BE AFRAID TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!! EpicenterDesigns
It is best to remove any chrome. For the grill, start at one end and slowly heat it and the chrome will pull off. If you heat it too much, then it will melt the plastic. but you can flake the chrome off of it in chunks, then start smoothing it out and prepping it. But the exact same steps are used for the exterior plastics as the interior plastics....maybe alittle more prep time making sure that any waxes and polishes are removed as mentioned above. CrownMe
hey guys, I was just reading another forum, and the general consensus there ws to just clean the interior piece whether it be vinyl or plastic. And then simply just paint it with Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric spray. Anybody tried it like that? How'd it turn out? TeejayBee
okay now i get the whole sanding part but with the Spary the panel with an Adheisive Promoter. Follow directions on can. is that after you sand all that or just a faster way to do it without sanding?
EpicenterDesigns
NO... You have to sand if you want that smooth look. The adheisive promoter will make the sanded plastic parts accept the primers and basecoats and make them stick better.
