ChevyBoy Posted March 9, 2007 Report Share Posted March 9, 2007 the sub brand doesnt matter as much as you think. yes it will greatly improve the chances of higher #'s, but it doesnt always. any sub can last one note. kicker isnt a bad sub, and thats definitely not a bad amp. he can have that in an s-10 like my buddy had and hit some high #'s. i dont know what he hit, but i had 2 of my 10" hx2's in it on an MTX 801D and that thing was LOUD. so its very possible. Hitting mid 40's is definately loud, but not something amazing. And I'm still building my system so I haven't had a chance to get it metered yet.
