rusty959
Very nice.but i think you have a problem like i had. i tried to build a tline before, but it ended up being just a ported box tuned to 22hz. It was great on loow low stuff like you say yours is but lost some on the rest. even still the box was one of my best. but yours may actually just be a low tuned ported box, just because its got a bigger chamber around the sub than the rest of the line. but still. it looks like a box id love to hear. x2 chamber around the sub is pretty big. Unfortunately that sub has a large mounting depth and it seems hard to work around, but it still may be acting as a chamber. What are the dementions of it? Other than that, looks good, but im missing the 45's? With all of those curves, you pretty much have to have 45's or you are killing your output... LSN2meBoom916
WOW bro, real nice!!! whered you get that panel saw? i want THAT one! Beat me to it. teh droolz. thatsalottabox!...and so it goes with T-lines....I found out with my lil experiment for 2 damn 8's. I gotta agree with what's been said so far....long basket/mag combo on the w7's makes for a "chamber" effect and could make it tune low ONLY....what was your math? maybe if you post that and have some of the T-line guru's like forevrbumpin take a look, might have some valuable input. Just a thought. Forevrbumpn
Yeah, thats alot of box, I guess if you have the space to kill.. lol I would have done 2 subs shared chamber, and single line just to save a few cubic feet but I can tell that box dumps low Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. jvillefinest
oh it dumps low! but im thinking if we remove some of the pollyfil i have in there (no pics) it should raise it up a bit. And like ya said i had the room. i didnt mind using it....so fuck it. Yes its tuned in around 24 or so hz The panel saw has a very funny story about it. but to make it short I worked for Sound Advice (tweeter) right before it went under. When it got delivered it had my managers name on it. When they parted the company out he got most of the tools with no garage to put them in. Were storing it for the time at the place where me and the boys work on new projects. So bad ass panel saw for free! i really was unsure on how this would sound but now that i have heard it and like it i think i am going to add 45s and such to see how much of a difference they make. i will get my planned drawings up when i go back over there to work on it later today. jvillefinest
These are the pics from doing the cut through. I am not in the cutting pictures because i honestly did have the balls. So while Joe Dirt (Old Install manager from Sound Advice) was cutting i was somewhere else. Then i came in behind and sealed it up. This is pictures of the "sleve" i used to slide the box into to keep it straight. hope that helps you out a little bit. If you have never done one plan on a few days/weekends to get it right and sealed. Its took me a while to get ever leak out.
