I Am Personally Running 2 Type X 12's At The Moment On A Single Memphis MCD-1000 ......

Type X 12's Take Alot Less Room For A Box If Your Tight On Space !

1.8 ft per sub

Here is The Twist

Mechanical Excursion , Peak To Peak 75 mm 75 millimeters = 2.95275591 inches

Type R 12's Require 2.25 ft Per Sub

Mechanical Excursion , Peak To Peak 65 mm 65 millimeters = 2.55905512 inches

there isnt much difference in the x-max factor .

but if you plan on throwing down on the subs do the type x

I Seen 2 Type x with a memphis mk4w 4000 watts rms pound these things to hell and back and they with stood the test!

just check this link out!

ive heard both subs and did installs with type r's and a p2

type r's are strong. can take shit loads of power. but they only sound good when given maybe a bit above rms.

the punch line sounds good and can get decently loud but have issues with power and their plastic cones. ive seen many many cracked ones

alpines got my vote

The T1 and T2 are nice woofers. But for that price, I'd rather buy Fi, Sundown, DC, etc...

Exactly!! I wish I bought some Fi subs for what I spent on my T1's.

x2 on the cracked plastic cones. I had 2 P2 10s in a ported box, on a RF 450.2 amp & both cones cracked above the rockford logo.
