CHINO11550
I have never been a fan of MTX but if you get it at cost pick it up. A shop owner around here said that of all the brands he carries MTX amps are burnt up the most. Rose-Villian
I think Ima just pick up a Couple of these see how i like em.... Only reason is because of waranty, and Looks... And they do WAY over rated Power... So All those are a A+++++ In my book... They will match the black truck and the Black box... And will match my 4 channel... Colin - STAPUFT
I have always had a soft spot for MTX amps. Their speakers not so much. I have lots of their old school Road Thunder Amps and they have never let me down. Lots of clean raw power. The new stuff is almost too pretty for my tastes. I like the older Plain amps. A gain knob and maybe a bass knob. Nothing else. Just and amp that only amplifies. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. windowtinter
i just clamped one and got about 2200 watts with a 2ohm rise so if you can get box rise down i could see it doing the rated numbers. this custmer has had good luck so far with now problems. ssackett
Are you more interested in the amp becasue of the warranty you get with it?? For the price Sierra sells these at you can probably find better deals.. Not saying these amps are bad. But paying what Sierra sells them at is alot for a 4000w amp. VisionSoundPDX
The number one reason MTX amps burn out... Not enough power produced by the individual's charging system. I was an MTX dealer for many years and never had a single one go bad because I didn't let my customers skimp on the charging side of the system. A single 120 amp alt wasn't going to cut it. Try dual alts, four batteries (or more) plus caps per amp. We did an H1 with two TE82001's and three TE604's a couple years back and used 1 gauge power on the 82001's and 2 gauge on the 604's. Two 190 amp alts, eight Optima red tops and two Rockford 650 farad caps (the one's that look like amps). The amps never had a problem. The subs on the other hand...
