EricR
thats way small for a 15... how wide is the port, looks to be about 2" im not saying the box is the reason the subs are blowing but i guarantee that if you got 12's you would be alot louder. that is unless you are able to build the boxes a bit bigger Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? CaptainzPlanetz
The box is like 3.2 cubes per sub box before displacement so it is pretty close I would think, as DC specs put it at a minimum of 3 cubic feet a sub. mbdblue
Correct, the subs are not connected in any way.I say more pix of all the wiring man...like back up and take a shot of the whole sub+ wiring not just each side...then take a pic of what it looked like @ the amp...I dissagree with the box being too small....my XL has been beating the shit outta my car and its just under 3 cubes...(not saying its a good thing!!!) running on 2600 watts... Noobtastic14
how would they be wired rite if there is no wire connecting the subs? It does not need a wire connecting subs to be wired correctly. What your saying is a common wiring OPTION but not the only way to wire the subz When you said "1ohm subs" just to clarify- you mean you have Dual 1ohm lvl 4 15s?? -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. CaptainzPlanetz
yea before the port, and when you add the 2" port that takes it down to the 2.7 area You are correct sir, the first specs I got were from the 12volt box calculator, then I entered it on the RE calculator and it came to about 2.7 with the port, also as I understand that DC already calculates sub displacement into its specs. Also as every one said more pics would most definatly help. Quote ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............
