the yellowtop i use to own was a little over 3 years old when i got it and now it's moved onto it's 4th owner. i used it for about 7 months to start the car even though they have about 200ish less cranking amps compared to the redtops; they're good, reliable batteries. not sure about it not being able to last after 2 years of cranking but they are labeled as starting batteries. all in all, if you can afford it, go for it.
