Do you use the Epoxy or the Polyester for the inside of boxs and for fabbing up amp racks or kick panels w/e. Just wondering? The Polyester is cheaper so im asking before im buying :) Thank you

i used the homedepot polyester type and i didnt really like it too much. Groundpounder uses the uscomposite stuff and does a great job with it. i dont have too much experience with either tho. hopefully he will chime in.

its really up to you if you use chopmat or cloth, but I always use mat cuz it tears and I dont have to sit there cuttin a bunch of pieces...plus its good for tight corners....

I have worked with both, cloth and mat, and i like the matt much more for the inside of the box cutting the peices is easier than that shit that just pulls apart, and when it hardens it doesnt cut my damn hand up. How is their shipping costs, i can get a gallon of resin in town for 40 bucks. Thanks

poylester resin is WAY better for what we use resin for

Epoxy resin you have to sand with 36 grit inbetween EVERY coat

poylester resin is good if you get a bonding resin, the stuff from home depot has a wax in it and isnt as strong

us composite resins i have not worked with before but i hear very good things, and i want to try it

i have a TAP plastics local to me so it makes it easy for me

The resin available at Home Depot or other places like that is basicaly a finishing resin, not the best choice for multiple layer applications because of the wax in it. This should really only be used on the final layer. Un-waxed or lay-up resin should be used in the layering of multiple layers of mat or cloth. Multiple layers of the waxed resin on top of each other can cause seperation between them.
