TeejayBee
So i had a friend tell me that i need a battery isolator to run my second battery , as of right now i have a regular car battery up front and im getting a Kinetik HC2000 for the back . So is it true that i need a battery Isolator ? and i do plan on getting either another Kinetik for under the hood or a yellow top
enemyofsilence
if you are planning on having your system on for a prolonged time with the car off, then you may want to look into an isolator. if not and its just for a daily driver, then you dont need one. wilesH3
An isolator is not needed. If the batts are ran correctly they will be fine. Shops around here say isolators are needed. 1) so they can make a few more dollars. 2) the lack of knowlage they have they dont want to self educate them selves.
