Alternator Pros, check this out!

Something that will hold reliable for at least a year on a daily driving vehicle, and is a new unit, not some reman unit that cost damn near $600.

If that was the case I could goto my friends junk yards and grab a bunch of cores, and buy these 240 amp kits for 124$ and have 3 highoutput units for less of a cost then the other guys.

When you buy kits like that they are almost always generic parts. Not perfected by any means. Idle output is usually horrible.

What amp alternator are you talking about thats $600.00?

Do you think there may be things going on in your setup thats causing the alts to fail?

Ok well, if I had bad batteries, I dont think I would of made it home running my truck off of my 2 d3100s, that where at 11.97 volts once I pulled in my drive way.

As for an alternator that costs almost $600, Im referring to your 300 amp CS 144 I bought, that was reliable I guess, but didnt come close to claimed output.

Dude no offense but if thats the third alternator that has gone prematurely there maybe underlying issues. There's gotta be a reason.

Edit, technically, its only the second alt, I forgot that one was a loaner Matt shipped me out to be able to make a competition.

Well people can call those kits "junk", but been fine for me for a year and a half now.

Enclosure:21.5 Cubic foot flat wall tuned to 40 hz

Batteries: 3 Kinetik 2400's in the back, Kinetik 1200 under hood.

the only thing I don't like is the guy who runs the company or used to was a complete douche. He's been around a long time and always acted like a prick. Didnt sit well with me.
