Opening up a small audio service

Recommended Posts

Well a lot of people from my school have asked me to build boxes for them and I am doing them for a resonable price and the thought popped into my head. Why don't I make it a small time service? Well after a bit of designing and thinking I have came up with what is now gonna be known as germantown audio. I made a shirt and was wondering what you guys think. Here are the shirts. They are gonna have my name and my friends name on his who is helping me with this aswell. We are gonna split every profit 50/50

Personally since it seems like your doing most of the planning, or the just the thinking in terms of business I would do 60/40 split. Unless their contrubuting alot more than just being friends. But hey its a good start up, but I would also put what you actually do on the back of the shirt also. (installs, box building, etc) Looks good though, nothing like word of mouth. But dont charge to low, and do private prices. In the sense where you give different prices per constumer and tell them keep it private. I found out personally that everyone wants the sam d*mn price regardless. Also put a number and a email down along with the services. Good luck!

Edit: Also watch the license thing also. Dont advertise too much, keep it word of mouth until your ready to buy a license. If not prepare to be FINED lol

thanks for the tips and if business picks up the liscense will be here asap. I am thinking I like the private pricing thing. But the 60/40 thing has to be 50/50 cause its my Best friend and he will contribute the same as me

I would def say use a black shirt with white letters, prob just a personal preference though.

Also do you have to have the permission of all those companies to rock their logos? Like i know steve has them on his site as affiliates but do you have to talk to them about it?

i think i just gave myself a concussion i facepalmed so hard.

and for the 1's that dont like me.....

well, Im still here fuckers. Cant get rid of me that easy.
