Kapetol T
Okay so im just bored at home ( sick) so no school and i was wondering how i can find what my coils are really at for the ohm do i use a meter and put the pos in the pos part and neg in the neg part and set the meter to ohm or is there somthing else that needs to be done? This gives you the Re, or DC resistance of the coil. Because you put AC, not DC, voltage across the speaker in normal use, the AC resistance, or impedance is much more relevant. The impedance changes with the frequency so is not as simple to determine. The "ohms" listed in the specs for your speaker are derived from the graph of impedance vs frequency of the woofer.
