meade916
ok i might need a little help here......I just noticed Youtube will be doing the 1080 thing and i have a Sony Hvr-hd 1000u that has all sorts of stuff on it including HDMI out, componant out as well as the basic standard def out.......but i want HIGH DEF and i need to know the best way to get it onto my PC. I have been looking into capture cards but most are standard def....i would prefer fire-wire or USB since my PC is a gaming tower and PACKED with video cards - just no capture card. I dont know if i have room for a capture card but if i do which one should i get? Hell i will build a PC just to capture the video but im not sure what to get. Gotta be HD though i am well aware how to get STANDARD video to my PC off the tape. Also this cam is SICKKK by amature standards anyway.......it has a Memory Stick Duo slot and i have a 16gb card for it. I would like to video directly to the card or at least send whats on the HD tape over to the card but even that i dont know if its possible. The instructions lead me to believe the memory stick is just for photo's (which this cam takes). anyway, a little help here please My new 720 sony cam i just got looks OK but its not living up to my expectations for sound or video with the slightest amount of darkness. So i wanna try this out. If it dont work out im goin back to my old cam because that thing looks and sounds pretty good for its price tag for not being HD. rusty959
Do you actually have the cam yet? Is there no chance that it can send video though its firewire port and not just hdmi etc? I wasn't finding much info that said either way... edit: looking through the manual... it seems that you can send the video to the computer using the firewire/ i.link... check out page 74ish http://ws.sel.sony.com/PIPWebServices/Retr...RHD1000U_OM.pdf Edited December 9, 2009 by rusty959 Quote 2013 Subaru BRZ12" Orion HCCA on AQ 22001967 mustang restoration project: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110765-mustang-restoration-build-2011-edition/ Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/therusty959
WickeD
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-VMC-IL4615-Digi...cp_ob_p_title_1 ? From what i've read you use that and then import it into a program capable of handling HD
