Thanks for the clarification. I'll use my shrink wrap + electrical tape instead of the boots then.

I'm going to go work on the big 3 now. Since no one is answering my question on the big 3 thread, I"m assuming it's ok to have two different grounds.

I'm not having problems with the shrink wrap lol. It's rubber thing that comes with the ring terminals that I"m having trouble with. It won't fit after I've added Shrink Wrap and then Electrical tape.

Again, what's the correct process?

just make sure the terminal is still nice and warm, not too hot and that rubber wrap will slide a lot easier. Used needle nose pliers for any minor adjusting that is still needed

Oh. So the trick is to make the rubber boot warm so that it slides in. I see now.

Meh. I'll decide later whether to use those boots or not. Thanks!

I went to home depot and bought more solder but it doesn't say 60/40 on this one.

it looks something like this:

http://www.midwayautosupply.com/showproduc...filiateid=10050

It says "Rosin Core Solder - Silver Bearing, Lead free".

Is this going to work?

They had something else that had "60/40" but it didn't say "Rosin Core Solder".

What's going on here? Should I stick to the one I was using before?

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=370-080

?

"60/40" means 60% Tin, 40% Lead right?

whihc way does the shrink wrap go? the big side facing the 0 gauge or the small side facing the wire? because all of them packaged come with the shrink wrap big hold end facing the ring terminal.
