Bumpindemlowzz
you see the way the port bends thats the way i would like it. Im still a noob and dont know how to calculate the irregular port volume and make it difficult to determine tuning. I think its called a kerf but i want a larger one then pictured below. but of course port forward subforward . i can do regular enclosures just fine but this ones a little difficult Edited December 29, 2009 by dccavalier Quote 2010 Silverado 18" DC XL 18 DC 2k XS Power Batts
Bumpindemlowzz
i think i may have to do a regular slot ported enclosure because this would mean i would have to go above the tuning i want. Bumpindemlowzz
guys whats your opinions on building it with birch with the hefty bends? I think i may do all kerfed pieces in mdf then the rest birch then go crazy fiberglassing everything Quote 2010 Silverado 18" DC XL 18 DC 2k XS Power Batts

Decaf
sorry i couldnt help, looks like u have something working for ya if u are going to kerf those two parts u should just do all three, no sense in have the port wall be like that if you move the dowel rod from side to side forward a little bit u wont need the second dowel rod in the port ideally you dont want anything in the port if u dont have to, ive found doubling the walls on each side provides greater strength than the dowels in the port and it creates less turbulence
