Dltnjest
Okay guys .. So i'm 15 and i'm getting a car very soon. I plan on getting a Grand Prix, LHS, or a midsize Explorer. This is what I plan to get for my first system when I get a car : HU - Alpine CDA-9886 Front - Alpine Type-R 6.5" Rear - Alpine Type-R 6x9 Subs - (Two) Rockford Fosgate T1 10" Dual 2ohm coils (ALREADY HAVE) Wiring - Knukonceptz 1/0 Ga into a distruibution block into 4 ga Amp (Subs) - Rockford Fosgate T1500-1bd Amp (6x9s) - Rockford Fosgate 200.2 (ALREADY HAVE) Custom box 3.0 ft^3 after displacements with slot port Big 3 in Knu wiring Possibly a drycell battery in the back if lights are dimming or having starting trouble (Kinetik HC800 or something) How does this sound guys? I'm only 15, and i spend alot of time on the internet, and i'm not looking to hit 150+ .. Just something to be heard and make some sh*t rattle .. Does this sound reasonable? Any changes or suggestions? I'm not looking to drop an assload of cash on this. I barely have enough to get the T1500 at this point. Give me your honest opinion, but this is what i have come up with, and plan on buying unless stated otherwise here. I dont think i'm missing anything .. So leave comments please! One other thing - Would it be worth it to have my local audioshop install the amp/deck? I can handle the door speakers haha. But it's all pretty good equipment, and i'd hate to mess it up. Thanks. C-Fizzy
Sounds like a very good first setup, but you're going to need better electrical. That 1500-1bd is very very power hungry. under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy? tristan560
Look like a decent setup...remember though, its all in the install. Equipment doesnt mean much. Take your time and do it right...trust me it pays in the end. Any questions and you have the best knowledge source at your fingertips here. 99 Jimmy SLT 4WD Systemless. 99 Grand Prix GTP DC XL 12 on 1.5k tuned lowwwwww. Dltnjest
with your voice coils your ohm load will be 2 or .5. i would recomend selling those and getting some Audiuque SDC2.5D4 10s Instead of telling me to get new subs, how about trying to help me find a amp that will run my subs fine, as i already have my subs and plan to keep them
Ndnkobra
Just looked up at the power handling on the subs, its 150-600 watts rms, you COULD get an eD Nine.1 Amplifier which is rated at 900W @ 2ohms. I think that will run those subs just fine. only problem is that they are out of stock and they have to make more amps, if you're willing to wait a bit
CaptainzPlanetz
If you get the explorer I would do those 10's in a T-Line. ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............
