alenv10
I am doing a 240 or 270 amp mechman alt, 1 d2700 under the hood, for 3000watts rms. should i be good? or im still gonna blow my amp? It says d2700 = 3500-4000 watts... so im guessing im gonna be safe?? i was thinking of trying to fit a d31 under my hood but i dont think it can happen Quote NOTHING DOWN HERE YET OBSIDIAN FTW
basshead19
i have a 2002 impala ls and running stock electric to an audiopipe 1000d amp, what would you recommend for a single battery up front?

KiddSleep
Ok my question is. If i had a 270 amp alternator and a duralast platinum as a starting battery ( 800 cca 1000 ca ) Then a d3100 in the trunk. Would it be enough for a 5000 watt rms system? Don't forget the big 3 too. KMS
As in primary, is that a single battery for the entire car, as in no other battery in the car? Or as in primary in the back for your amp while still having the regular old battery under the hood. If I were to replace my factory or whatever old cheap battery under the hood with an XS battery. Which one should I be looking at? Going to be paired with a 120a alt, BC2k, and crescendo 1000c4 (125x4@4ohm) I'm guessing the D3400 as a replacement under the hood is correct? The alt sticker says 14v, and the battery says it's a 12v. Is this a problem? DylanBunch
This makes so much more sense now on why people have multiple batteries lol the more batteries means when you exceed the amps of the alt, several batteries will chip in causing less voltage drop instead of just one giving all its got and having bad voltage drop. DylanBunch
Im either gonna get a 230a or 300a singer alt and then a crescendo 3500 along with a d3400. That should hold up right?
