Like Nathan said if you know what you are going to run for amps then you will be needing at 3 to 5 batterys to keep the power there with out any kinda of prob. What alt(s) do you have? 1 DC power 270sp but was custom built.from rob... does 198@ idle.... and This for a Warhorse... my plan was.... to put 1D3100 under the hood and use that for the starting battery and for my 4channl & accessories... then 4D3100's in the back dedicated for my Warhorse only... I slam my system FULL tilt daily for song after song so it'll be full tilt for im talkig 20-45mins at a time... For comps- youre playing a system on a single tone for about a 30 second time period (sometimes straight, without any breaks). For daily systems- The subs arent always playing during a song. When they are playing, the impedance is almost always changing. At some frequencies, i bet a true 5000watt amp only outputs 500watts rms.
