Jakfuture
A buddy of mine bought 4 15's with 4ohm dvc. He also bought a hifonics 1210d to power them. Can we get the subs to drop to 1 ohm? Jakfuture
Yeah, I knew the 'safest' way was a 2ohm load, but wasn't sure if 1ohm was achievable. fritosaregood
guess you gotta get another 1210d and run them both at 1 ohm... bummer, haha Quote seller feedback: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61719 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=68281 build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=44800 Gf's build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/54346-kickergirls-camaro-new-box-pg-5/#entry753970

Gavinvoy
you could do .5, assuimng your impedance rise is enough.
Lowroll
you could do .5, assuimng your impedance rise is enough. Thats what id do. getting .5 ohm rise to make the amp stable shouldnt be hard at all. Jakfuture
I guess I should go ahead and admit that I'm a scrub when it comes to detailed installs. I mean I've thrown an amp and speakers into cars. But nothing real? I guess that makes sense. All in all. I'm not sure how to get the .5 ohm rise to make the amp stable? Any way you could explain a bit? cqtama
your impedence will rise as you play, everytime the sub moves it changes a little bit and somebody correct me if im wrong a smaller box will have more rise. also slow roll your volume untill its playing dont just crank it right away. i would just get a second amp and wire both to 1 ohm though Quote R.I.P '01 blazer you treated my ears well until your transmission blew up.
