HHR Ed
oh ya what about fat mat? I cant say too much, just some truthful observations. Fat Mat extreme type is the deadener thats currently falling off my friends Accord side panels. Decaf
it works, and is in my car now i live near chicago so -15 to 105 on average and it doesnt budge 1 $15 roll is 12.5sqft... 1/2 as thick as SS damp so really thats $15 for 6.25sqft $15/6.25sqft = $2.4 per sqft $60/13sqft = $4.6 per sqft the extra cost gives u a wee bit more thickness, maybe 10mil at most... and reliable adhesion but it still is a budget deadner that works for me so far
kmalinich
It does work. That's the bottom line. But you have to accept the problems you might\will have with it. - Falling off (hot out) - Cracking (cold out) - Not as effective (any temperature) - And I've heard your car smells bad for a couple days after the application, but it goes away. And yeah, to make it equal the effectiveness of Second Skin damplifier... it's been proven mathematically a few times on here it's close to the same price. But then again, not saying it doesn't work. coobies5
i live in south texas where it goes from snowing a little in winter at about 20F to in the summertime inside the vehicle its approaching 130F and my 2+ layers on the back wall of my truck has been intact for the whole past year and some. it works for those who need some help with maybe $20 to spare. however, i still would like to have some second skin damplifier pro when i get the funds. This. If your peel and seal is falling off your probably didn't clean the surface or didn't do a good job cleaning it. 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7l Cummins 4 FT1s C1600.2 8 PWX 8s ONX2.100 Audio Technix Wiring & Sound Deadener My Youtube Feedback
DarkTinman
Yeah, i unfortunately used peel n' seal on my car's side panels. It stuck okay and i put the cover back on and it's good. I had a whole extra roll and said, "Hey why don't i just use it in my trunk." That crap fell off either that day or 2 days later when i discovered that it had fallen off and got all over my amp rack. I had to use WD-40 to get my amp cleaned. Not fun stuff. Now I'm just scared to open my door panels up and see it all falling off! And honestly i think it is because of the heat because here in Arizona it's always so hot. But i bet it would've fallen off anyways seeing what HHR Ed said.
