I would say XS I have read a lot of threads of batteries and they say XS is pretty much designed for car audio and x-treme audio applications. Where as yellow tops are more for starting, boat, and some car audio installs. hope this helps :good:

Im looking to upgrade from my stock battery. Any advice on which battery i should go with?

what kind of sound system are you pushing?

both have different uses, the xs power has the best performance, but if youre really not going all out in the audio arena then sometimes its cheaper to work within your range.

ive used the yellow and redtops heaps but the xs power provide the best reliability and performance. in my personal daily driven truck i have an optima yellowtop under the hood and 4 d3100s in the back. but it depends on what youre doing also. unless you have the money. then you might as well do it right the first time

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

I quote Nathan from XS, only Stinger and XS-powerbatts are comparable, the rest not

nathans the effing man.

but on another note, other batteries dont compare but if youre pushing a small system, theres no need to go so far out especially if a budget is on the slim side. i cant fit a nice xs under my hood comfortably for me which is why i use the yellowtop under the hood and the xss in the back. i guess what im trying to say is...xs power is bad ass. optima cant compete...but its not shit either. its still a good battery

I dont know how much $ the Optimas in the states, here in Europe expensive like hell

red top 235 $

blue 270 $

yellow 320 $ + shippin, but shipping is much cheaper in Germany than in the states.

So i didnt compare the prices.
