Optima Yellow Top vs Kinetik

Recommended Posts

Right now i am currently running an alpine mrp m2000 which is 2000 rms and plan to add another one soon. I already have a 240 amp irragi alternator and my voltage sits around 14.5 at idle and 13.8 when im at full tilt. i have one small car battery in the back which dosent help me at all its just nice to have it there lol. but my question is do i need to spend $1200+ on 3 kinetik 2000's at the local car audio shop or will the optima yellow tops do just fine for me. i barley have any voltage drop as it is now with just the alt. i know the kinetik batteries are top of the line but i really dont feel like i need all that

Holy shit man. Check out eBay for WAY better pricing on those. HC2400s go for like $300 new sometimes.

I've warrantied three of my 2400s through Kinetik. You just have to get the approval form and submit it. They will send you the info on what to do and ship new batteries quickly.

I personally have Yellow tops and they work fine BUT I have never used a Kinetik or an XS battery so i dont have anything to compare it too. I have No voltage issues what so ever even before the XS VCM.

lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz.
