i hit bout 134db and my install is fine its just i dont know why the tweets wont work now so im going to order alll new jl door speackers and tweets and get some new amps so i can just hit the problem all at once and should fix it

not trying to be a dick or anything but stock speakers can keep up with 134 dbs, if you have some money to spend on the tweets.

Get two sets of these

tweets

And one of these

Amp

Run 1 SET of tweets per channel @ two ohms And you will be set for life.

Plain and simple, stop thinking about putting tweeters everywhere, its just dumb, period. I have a 99 tahoe that had momo 6.5's in the front doors with CHEAP ASS tweeters in the factory door location with infinity 6x9's in the back and it kept up with every sub setup I have had in there.

And for the love of god, will you please spell speakers without the C.

x2 to the 1st part and thank you for saying the second. i was about to.

Focal, Rainbow, Hertz, CDT if you got the money.

x2 again. except i would put image dynamics on the top of my list. i can personally guarantee that the cheapest set image dynamics sells will keep up with 134db.

tweeters are just for hiss's and other very high frequencies. most of the voices come from the mids. so all your going to be able to hear is an ear piercing TISS! that and the midget in the truck playing drums.

basically... if your speakers cant keep up with those subs... something is wrong. crap speakers, way too little power, or crappy install. list all your equipment and post pics of the install. maybe we can save you time and money and get you REAL SQ results.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

Get good 6.5s for the 4 doors, put 6.5s or 6x9's in the rear 4x10 location, amp them and call it a day.

A bunch of tweeters just sounds like shit if you don't NEED THEM, and trust me, you don't.

It's a running joke around here (Lansing, MI), "The 3 T's of Lansing, Twenties, Twelves, and Tweeters" because every dumb ass in Lansing that goes to shade tree shops that sell all lanzer, pyramid, boss, and brands such as that, come to a real shop with tweeters on EVERY pillar of their car and anywhere from 3 to 10 of the cheapest twelves you can buy, and this "this shit is crispy as hell cuuuuuzzz".

It is amazing what you can achieve with knowledge and quality products.

And for the love of god, will you please spell speakers without the C.

Thanks and good luck with the install.

X2...

This "Hey cuz yall got crispy tweet's?" Shit is getting old... If you KNEW what tweets where really for you WOULDN'T want 14... I work on that body style Tahoe all the time. 6.5's in the door and 4X10's OR 6x9 work great... MAYBE A set of Components in the FRONT doors and that Tweeter in the FACTORY tweeter pods...

Just my .02 ;)

lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz.
