emperorjj1 Posted October 3, 2006 Report Share Posted October 3, 2006 ok right now im looking at getting a vid screen for my ravdvd 1... right now im stuck between 2 units a Kenwood LZ-6500W and Alpine TME-M710.. i also had a power acoustik and sony in mind but i dont think ill get them... model numbers of those (just incase someone has used them b4 and has feedback) are Sony XVM-H65, Power Acoustik PT-700MHR) so which one should i get? J. emperorjj1 Posted October 3, 2006 Author Report Share Posted October 3, 2006 both the kenwood and alpine are 6.5 wide and prices on both fit in the 300-350 range. the sony is 6.5 but price is 400 for the same basic features of the ken/alp... now the pa is a steal at 170 but im concerned about how long the screen will last... i dont want to be buying another one anytime soon. the pa is also 7in which is a plus but it only has one input vs 2 on all the other models (i think i need 2 if i ever wanted to add a back up cam) links.... Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. emperorjj1 Posted October 5, 2006 Author Report Share Posted October 5, 2006 ehh i sota wanted just the screen not a motorized one... since i already have the hu and all the 310 wouldnt be practical.. the idea of having a tuck away monitor isnt that bad since im low on space but the fact that i didnt really want a motorized one and the added cost is way more then im looking at... lol i keep thinkign about that pa unit bc of the price. damn its pretty close to half of what i would pay for the next cheapest one (kenwood) J. kingsuv Posted October 6, 2006 Report Share Posted October 6, 2006 LOl I hear ya. I would look for good pixel count and something that is back lit. Cold Cathode or whatever. Not all of them are. TFT is ok but don't expect it to look like an LCD. Also look for viewing angle, some are a lot wider then others. And the last thing to remember is that you get what you pay for. I like to wait untill i got the xtra cash to step it up a little then to redo it down the line cause I found something better. Designing, building, and shipping boxes.
