Dale Posted August 2, 2007 Report Share Posted August 2, 2007 if you want to be able to overclock your processor significantly, you need to invest in proper cooling....namely water-cooling. Highly overclockable RAM is a plus. how much you can overclock really depends on the chip. different chips will yield different overclocking potential. but you can sure push them to the limit with the right hardware. I have gotten my Dual core X2 2.4Ghz to a stable operating frequency of 3.0Ghz! but I only have air-cooling so pretty soon the heat caught up to me. but if you have any questions or need help building your system i'd be glad to help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
