I was just breaking in an SA-12 D2 on the test bench on a 1500D @ 1 ohm at maximum volume on our bench head unit even with some audible clipping and it was just fine. Of course it got a wee bit warm after a couple minutes of doing that but that is normal as a 1500D is a beast. NOTE: I do not suggest doing that for a long period of time but it's fun to watch the sub take it without any real audible distress.
