bassmekanik22
According to Torres calculator and the measurements given and 3/4 timber with single layer all round I get: 6.62cu ft after disp 72.5" of port tuned to about 34.3 hz. Port area would be a little low for the size of the box still. If the port was made to 6" wide and the section of port on the back wall increased to 7.75" long will keep a low tune and net much more port area 87" to be exact and the box volume comes down to 6.05cu ft. What power will be runnning into the drivers at what load. The smaller volume and bigger port may or may not be a good thing. Systems: Fun Car: Deck: Alpine CDA-9887 Front sounds: Alpine SPR-175A x2 Front power: RF T400.2 Benched at 265x2 rms @ 2ohm Subs: RF T1 10 dual 4 Ohm x1 Sub power: RF R500.1 Box yet to be built. bassmekanik22
If the original plans were made with 3/4" stepping up to 1" will require re-working the design a little as the sheet sizes will be different. Are they to max dimensions that you can use or a design supplied with a woofer? even in 1" going with the external dimensions of the original plan will net a smaller box and different tuning. Hugh G. Rection
if i had to guess, i would say you are going to run into some issues with that sub on the right. thats one heck of an odd enclosure. Owner of BigAss Ports
