I had a chicks name on me for a bit, fortunatley it was a shitty tattoo and nearly faded away completely after a year or two, which was about 5 times longer than the relationship lasted. my point being that YOU NEVER KNOW how long a relationship will last. now if she dies or something and you are still happy then by all means, get her name on you...but not while shes alive, maybe make yourself a pattern that has something to do with her...but seriously getting a name on you is just asking for bad shit to happen. tatt2guy Posted September 12, 2010 Report Share Posted September 12, 2010 I can say this with 18+ years to back it up, it kinda sux getting tattooed on the wrist, but it's not a very large area, so it'll be over quickly...... It's your decision, what you tattoo where, it can always be covered up if it needs to be, so I say if you want it, then go for it...... I will tell you, I do on average about 40 name cover ups a year.... Thats not all that come through the shop, thats just the ones I personally do....... However you're the one that gets to wear it, proudly or not... If you want it, then do it..... if not then dont........ I would however wait till you're at least 18 to do so.......... They have laws about such things for a reason.... Dude do you know how many girls, and I were meant to be together........ 300 at least...... That doesnt mean I didnt enjoy my time with each of them, but in the end if I tattooed all of there names on me, I would be a walking example of what not to do...... I will say that my wrist was more painful than most peoples though, I do alot of wrist tattoos and its no big deal. what i am getting at is that everyone is different, but wrists usually arent bad.
