MECHMAN Posted September 13, 2010 Report Share Posted September 13, 2010 im looking for the biggest alt you got for a 1997 chevy lumina 3.1 L Your vehicle uses a CS130D small housing alternator , that really isn't capable of more than 200 amps, with crappy output at idle. Our unit for that vehicle is a Custom machined large case housing that bolts directly in place of your small case unit. Our unit does 270 amps, with 165 amps at idle, with rock-solid durability for daily use. It is a direct bolt in, direct plug in, and comes with our solid copper competition rectifier assembly standard. The complete bolt in swap kit is $499 shipped. this unit is for a slightly different GM application, but you get the idea in size comparison. MECHMAN Posted September 24, 2010 Report Share Posted September 24, 2010 It won;t work with our alternator, but if you need higher voltage, we have a plug in module similar to an MLA, that is adjustable from 13.5 to 19.5 volts.
