MECHMAN
No, you can run dedicated zero gauge positive and ground cables directly from your stock alternator housing to the positive and negative terminals of the battery, and it will not hurt anything. We have a 150 amp large case conversion kit for $375 shipped (almost full output at idle) and a 220 amp large case conversion kit for $449 shipped (135 at idle) regards, Matthew Quote 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]
dugee81
In regards to damaging equipment, there is a possibility if you don't fuse the 1/0awg (or whatever you decide to run) inbetween the battery and alternator. UnderLoK
one can i get a quote on a alt for a 91 honda accord and 2 if i do big 3 from alt to bat will it hurt my alt? i have a stock alt... i keep getting told it will mess up my alt. so im asking a expert now As Matthew already covered, no it won't hurt anything. I'm just chiming in to say that these people who said that have absolutely no idea what they are talking about and from here on out if they tell you something don't believe it. That is just silly... Really if you stay with the stock alt 8g would be fine for up to like 4ft (it's a 90a right?). You can push a ton of power done a wire when it's only a foot long In regards to damaging equipment, there is a possibility if you don't fuse the 1/0awg (or whatever you decide to run) inbetween the battery and alternator. Safer yes, does anyone do it? No...
