dugee81 Posted September 21, 2010 Report Share Posted September 21, 2010 So long story short, stock serpentine belt is a little too loose, and the next size down (1/2in shorter) is tight to the point where the idle pulley cannot shift in place. I get slight belt slip at start up, for about 5-6 seconds and then it catches and stops. What can I do about this? Is there a belt I can order that is inbetween the 2 sizes I have now? Or can I purchase a bigger idle pulley? I figure because I can't actually use the adjuster on the idle pulley, the belt is not covering enough of the alt pulley and therefor not catching at low RPM.
