Skip01 Posted October 8, 2006 Report Share Posted October 8, 2006 Ok ok...soo lets say the setup 4 SS PCA2000 on 2 12 FI BTLs Soo lets say i get the Dual 2dvc and i wanna strap 2 amps on each. Now i i have 1 amp and wire it parrellel i will get a 1ohm final load. What if i wire it parellel and have to amps strapped to it...what will each amp see.... .5ohm? And what power will they put out...if strapped with sub in series will it see a 1ohm load but put out more than just 1 amp seeing a 1ohm load?So more than the 2000watts@1ohm its rated at normally? BumpinLow Posted October 8, 2006 Report Share Posted October 8, 2006 The dual 2's are really 1.5 coils, so it'll be wired to a .75 ohm load, but then each amp is seeing .375 I believe which I dont know how those amps will do @ that low of an ohm load. My suggestion is to just not strap them and run one on each coil, they'll each be close to the rated watts, shouldn't poop on you and I think it will be less of a hassle. SPLGEO Posted October 8, 2006 Report Share Posted October 8, 2006 as far as I know when you strap 2 amps together you have to divid the ohm load by have..... such as 2 1ohm stabe amps strapped you can only run tehm at 2 ohm but you ad the 1 ohm powers together 1995 Geo Prism .
