Some crap about how they can't stream video over usb so they HAVE to use a separate video which means they HAVE to use a separate audio which means you HAVE to buy a stupid cable. check the PAC part, its usually cheaper http://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-KCA-iP300V-Video-Direct-Cable/dp/B000NDGOIG pac is more expensive online...wtf...but atleast you can see what you are missing in that pic and get it for 20 bux... AV 1 input should be set to ipod to get sound through it. Let me know if this works thats all I had to do for my Pioneer x920 and im not using the specific cable I am just using Ipod hook up with rcas and usb to hook ur ipod/ipad to your tv.
