If i have 3 dvc 4 ohm subs is there any way i can get them down to a 1.3 ohm load to my 1 ohm stable amp?

Maybe wiring 2 together then adding the third and if so will it work, asking since im debating with a friend about it not being possible, but he states it is. I hope im wrong though.

you can only get a 2.66 ohm load with 3 4ohm dvc subs and you can achieve a 1 ohm load with 2 subs wired in parallel.

edit: you could get a 1.33 ohm load only with 3 2 ohm dvc subs

He says you take 2 4 ohm dvc and put them in series/parallel which will give you 4 ohms, and the third you wire parallel/parallel to the speakers you have already and that will give you 1.3.

Again these are his words and weve been drinking he did compete in high school in kansas city in competition wiring stuff but let me know what this means.

just wire it down to .67 and be done with it.

Depends on amp not all are able to handle below rated resistance. Plus it requires more electrical
