Get the XL, I cant see the lvl 4 being louder then the XL even underpowered by a couple hundred watts, the XL imo is one of the top subs out right now, I mean theres guys hitting 175 db's with em, beating dd99z's and they sound the best among all the super subs (btl's, dd's, HDC3, etc.)

2010-11 Project:

1 15" DC XL

1 AP3k

1 3.5 cube interchangeable port box

Finishing this all up over the winter and will be starting to compete in 2011!

Cool! Thanks, man...

What about the sub? Wich one would you buy to hook up in 1400w? LVL 4 or XL?

Ty

get the lvl 4 ;).

Why would you say that? I wanna understand theses things...

Cool! But dont you think 1300~1400w is kinda low power to move the XL's "weight"?

just go with the xl, everyone says they won't get more power, but everyone does, and the xl will still put up better numbers and sound better with even less power still..

c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old.

i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer.

That video I posted is a 12" XL on less then 1400 watts....

Dude, can I be honest?

Maybe the camera didnt pick up the flex and all, but I didnt find it THAT impressive.

I was hoping I would do something like this with a DC sub on 1500w:

You guys think I can achieve something like that with my system?

Again, thanks for the help so far yall!

I apologize my car isn't 15 years old and the steering wheel isn't pulling out of the dash. Lol. But no the camera doesn't pick up all the flex. Just a crappy iPhone cam. I don't like the flex but all of my doors panels breathe, my windshield moves enough to see it go up and down. My entire dash does the wave when 33hz hits and my steering wheel flexes a decent bit.....

Edit: and I might as well throw my rear view out the window because it's practically about to fall off anyways
