Sampsonite
There really isn't enough port area there. I'd do at the very least 50 square inches of port area. I have mucho experience with l5's and l7's and I know they like a lot of port also, your plans put you closer to 29hz than 32 Quote --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
RickyFriery97
How Many square inches do I have there?? What should I do with the port? Make it longer wider or taller? I'm just now learning how to make a box and tune it so It's kinda complicated :/ Quote 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer

I would make the port 5 inches wide and 25 inches in length Quote --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
RickyFriery97
How tall would you make it though? I wanted to put the port along the bottom of the box under the sub? And what would that put my tuning at? Edit: ok how bout the port 5 inches high 12 inches wide and 25 inches long? That's 60 square inches of port right? What would the tuning be? Around 32hz? AMI CUSTOMS
For one L7 15, I would do 8 0 sq inches of port MAX, unless you aren't going to put shit on it for power. That sub needs between 5-6 cubes to get LOUD. I have one L5 in my truck in a 6 cubic foot box, and it SLAMS, check out my video if you want to. But the one thing I know about kickers is that they love their space. A single L7 in a 3 cubic foot box (ported) on about 1500 watts would get owned by a single L7 in a 6 cubic foot box on 950 watts... You will be disappointed if you decide to build such a small box for your sub.
AMI CUSTOMS
With those figures, 26 long for 36 hz and 30 long for 34, but with a port that long that is going to take away more net and make the box even way smaller. Cuz at 36 hz tuning you are at a 1.0 cube worth of port, so that brings your net cubes down to 2.4 without the sub. WAY too small, you would need a shit load of power to make it do anything. You should consider either selling the sub or making a sealed box that is 3.4 cubes.
