dunkoholic
I got a question for yall. My Bass keeps cutting out, or will just turn out whenever it wants to. Before, it would turn on when i hit a bump or take a sharp turn. I checked the amp, but its not or never on protect mode. I had my cousin re-install my deck Alpine 9883, and it worked for a couple of days, but then it keeps doing the same thing again. Could it be my deck is fucked up? I have one amp saz1200 going into 4 re 12's and 1 rockford fostgate going into 1 dd 8's. The 8's is fine. It never shuts off though.. I tried switching the RCA from the Fostgate to the Saz, but stil no bass coming out of the 12's...... hmmmmm, what could it be? By swapping the RCA's do you mean you actually changed the channels you were using or just swapped the wires? sundownz
We don't make an SAZ-1200D -- is this an SAE-1200D or SAX-1200D ? skittlesRgood
im pretty sure it is not the deck. when the bass cuts out does the amp turn off? when it cuts out how high is the volume? full tilt? try putting a jumper from the amps + to the remote terminal and see if it keeps cutting out. dont leave it like that though. also try turning everything on and physically smack the top of the amp. see if it makes it cut out. if it does, your amp probably has a cracked trace and needs repair. bobonit
If you just took the one end of the RCA from the Fosgate and hooked it up to the SAZ, leaving the end of the RCA hooked up to the HU alone, then the problem is somewhere with your SAZ and 12's. When the bass cuts out, is the amp still on? Or is the amp turned off? If the amp is still turned on, then you can check to see if there is anything on the outputs by checking voltage with a DMM on the outputs. IF there is output, but subs are still not playing, check the wiring to the subs. dunkoholic
Opss, sorry, yeah its the Sae1200. But yeah the amp stays on at all times. Here's a good example, like last night, i went to the park to play basketball, no bass at all... After playing ball, i started the car, turned on my Stereo and it Bump for like 5 seconds and it cut out again.... I just pulled out the Rca from the Rockford fostgate amp and connected it to the SAE amp. Still no Boom Boom! 2000LaDe
just buy a saz1500 and see if it happens anymore. then if it does it with the 1500 then u know its something else. and u can sell the 1200 so then u have a better amp out of the deal and u will figure out its not an amp problem lol

Amp does not turn off at all, and no its not at full tilt. it just cuts out when ever it wants to... let me try smacking it and see what happens..
