kandiman71874
ummm, you remove them.... The torsion bar acts as a spring so once it is removed and the bags are installed, the bag does the job that the torsion bar did. badcayne
yeah you gotta remove the torsion bars, BUT since the denali is an AWD not a 4wd you cant remove the front axles,so you have to make a custom tower above the upper control arm to mount the bags and also use tubular upper arms.or pu.l the entire AWD setup(front diff, transfer case and transmission) and install a regular 2wd transmission and mount the bags on the lower control arms. this is a pic of an escalade, same AWD setup. http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w109/nyccustomizer/whiteescalade085.jpg

Most transmisson has bolt on tailshafts so therefore doesn't have to replace the whole transmisson is he went that route. You could leave everything, just take out the drive shafts and axle shafts. Leaving the differential and transfer case won't matter much. And just incase he wanted to go back it would be there.

Correct? I said driveshalfs and axles. I mean I know this isn't the 100% right thing to do but I'm sure it could work. And I'm sure, you can cut off whatever turns off/on the transfer case to ever engage. Maybe I'm wrong? Just a thought.

Chickens 02 Caddy (the hoopty) has had the AWD removed from it since day 1 (to make room for bags) they took it out right not just pulled the axles out, you pull the axles and the front diff drains and gets fluid all over and if it isn't disconnected from tcase it would still be spinning which would burn it up. I hate the awd systems on the caddy and denali wish they used the same system as the tahoe and youkon, well I guess that is all if it was the same as the one I help replace a broken axle shaft on but it was older previously known as wenn_du_weinst aka fucking internet coward supreme.
