Battery contact area (stacking terminals/buss bars)

This is how I connect any ring terminal to large cable, 8 gauge and up to 2/0, mega crimpers. Best possible connection.

eh...ever try hydraulic crimpers? i think the user 'charger' on this forum has a pic of a terminal crimped with a hydraulic crimper sawed in half. looks like a solid chunk of metal through the ring terminal. made me a believer of a good reason to crimp over solder lol

No I haven't used the hydraulic crimpers before, but I love my mega crimpers, I can make several cables in minutes. And the mega crimpers you can adjust tighter and tighter, just depends on how much balls you want to put behind the handles. It is a VERY solid connection no doubt....LOL

to each there own, I kinda like ring terminals myself with a bolt going thru the bar, but that's me.

I think its just fine and not a weak link, my theory is that ring terminal has good contact area, electricity flows on the outside off the metal not thru it.

I'm with you on this one, copper bar and brass bolts for me

How do I reverse the spindle?

Best way to tap holes with a press is to use a tapping head...

looks something like this:

It has a gearbox in it... once you start pulling up on the handle of the drill press, the gearbox engages and makes the tap spin the opposite way.... Pretty cool tool.
