Ernesto
Honestly I wouldn't run an amp under the minimum recommended load for daily driving...Max I'll go under -.3 (on the ZX2500.1 I'll do 1.7ohm). I tried running my modded Orion 2500d @.5ohm daily and after 15 minutes on music it would go into protect. That's not fun (for me). I would run it under the recommended ohm for burps though

emperorjj1
ok you want to run at 1 ohm but youd rather buy a 2ohm stable kicker amp over a 1 ohm stable rf amp? im not familar with kicker but i know that rf amp can take a pounding J. Slinky
imo that kicker will take any beating that a rockford will. but dont be a dumb ass and run it under 2 ohms. if you want to run at a 1 ohm load buy an amp that is stable at 1 ohm. Crazy4CarAudio
thats your personal choice, i just like squeezin that extra power out Ok, sry to bring this up. But I was looking at other forums and found this.... the reason that the 2500.1 does its power at 2ohms is because in preliminary testing of the amp it was found taht the 2ohm version of the amp put out more power than if the amp was made to run at 1ohm and since power is what this amp is going after, the 2ohm version was produced. Does anyone know if this is true?
Ernesto
Interesting but I don't know if that's true.
