Dylank811
Okay well maybe the seller did it on purpose or it was just an accidental misread since he never actually used the amp. The amp I bought is actually the 601s, but hey it still hits alot harder and I'm still happy with it, so it's alright. I'm ordering some new power and speaker wire to touch up some wiring I cut corners on, so pictures for that will be up next week maybe. 2004 Ford Mustang GTPioneer DEH-P7200HD head unitMach 460 Factory System Cadence FXA1600.2 Cadence S2W10 Cadence 4 AWG wiring Ported box, 2 cubes, 32 hertz
Dylank811
Update! I ordered a nice little goodie box yesterday! - 10 feet Tsunami 8 AWG blue - 5 feet Tsunami 8 AWG silver - 10 feet Tsunami 12 AWG blue/silver - 35 feet Tsunami 16 AWG blue/silver This will eliminate the 10 AWG Rockford Fosgate power wire I was running from my power/ground distributers so the math is correct now. Everything also color coordinates now, which is important to me. As you can see from the 16 AWG, I will be running new speaker wire, as well! I honestly don't even know if I need it, but I figure it can't hurt when I only paid $14.00 + shipping for it! And about 10 minutes ago I ordered a LC-1 gain control knob. Very excited about that. 2004 Ford Mustang GTPioneer DEH-P7200HD head unitMach 460 Factory System Cadence FXA1600.2 Cadence S2W10 Cadence 4 AWG wiring Ported box, 2 cubes, 32 hertz
Dylank811
I'd like to start off by saying these pictures should look better than all the others before it because I decided to use a real camera this time. Here's a list of what I ordered: Tsunami Wiring - 10 ft 8 AWG Blue - 5 ft 8 AWG Silver - 10 ft 12 AWG Blue/Silver - 35 ft 16 AWG Blue/Silver I ended up getting 5 sets of Phoenix Gold RCA's and 35 ft of remote wire, also. I didn't even order that stuff, so I'll probably shoot them an email tomorrow and see if they even want it back. Here we are: So first I cut my power and ground to appropriate lengths for my distribution blocks. My best friend: Next up was the wiring for the subs. The first picture is my previous wiring. (The green PVC in the back all comes together to about an 8' by 10' banner stand for my band!) That's all I got done tonight. (at 1 o'clock) I get home from church/work around 4 PM tomorrow and I will be right back at it! I need to throw all this stuff in and start on the real fun. Running all new speaker wire. Okay maybe not so fun. 2004 Ford Mustang GTPioneer DEH-P7200HD head unitMach 460 Factory System Cadence FXA1600.2 Cadence S2W10 Cadence 4 AWG wiring Ported box, 2 cubes, 32 hertz
Dylank811
Alright, I made some more progress today. I got my new power wires ran to start. Wow, I can't believe there was actually a substantial difference. All I did was swap out the old 10 or 12 AWG (whichever it was) with the new 8 AWG from my distributer block and bam, more power! Unfortunately, I'll have to back the gain way down because these subs just can't take it. I ran the new wire for my subs, but this didn't make a difference because I only swapped wire for color coordination. Same size. I got a good start on the new speaker wire as well. One more door, and the rear deck speakers will be a breeze! I'm hoping to hear some better response from my speakers with the 16 AWG wire, but I'm not sure if there will be. I'm also hoping to see a smoother electrical system out of this. I look at it like sucking through a straw. Ever notice how hard it is to drink a milkshake from a straw? Maybe a thicker wire will make it easier and less straining on my car. Hopefully. If all this doesn't happen to cure my electrical issues, then I will knock out the big 3. Here's some pictures. Look at them shiners! I hate this amp. The terminals are garbage. I cut those to keep them from venturing over to my ground. Power and ground ran for both amps. Power and ground under the lid. Sub wire ran. The amps rewired. Except for the new speaker wire. Door panel off, ready to work. Still satisfied with these speakers! Time to come out. Spaghetti wiring? And I'm not too happy to discover water droplets/oxidation on my speaker terminals from my window when it gets wet. I'll work out a solution to keep this dry. Goal: Through that hole, and beyond! Hmmm... Yepp that'll work. And I finally got it through! Mystery cut? When did this happen? I managed to phish it through there! Ready to go! Taped to the old wires to keep it away from the window track. Alright well that's all I got done today. I should be able to finish it up tomorrow and hopefully do a video! If you're actually reading this, please show some love with some fresh comments! Dylank811
Alright, well I've completely finished all the rewiring and also installed my LC-1 Here's the pictures. Made a stop by the local hardware shop. 16-12 AWG disconnects. I can't lie, I was excited that they coordinate with the blue/silver theme. I thought some matching spades would clean this up a little bit! I noticed that the adhesive glue doesn't like heat too much, so I reinforced my bond with some staples. Both fronts are ran! Gorgeous! Glad this showed up today while I was working on my car. Good timing! All four now ran! Working on that whole bass knob thing... Some beauty shots... Just noticed the frayed carpet in this picture...I'll investigate that. That power/ground on the Sony really makes me nervous. Ran a little short on speaker wire so I had to take a shortcut haha. Pretty:) Temporary bass knob placement. And that wraps it up! 2004 Ford Mustang GTPioneer DEH-P7200HD head unitMach 460 Factory System Cadence FXA1600.2 Cadence S2W10 Cadence 4 AWG wiring Ported box, 2 cubes, 32 hertz
